PRAYING GOD'S WILL | ATTITUDE (2)

1. Praying God's Will

a) What should you pray for? Scripture is clear that you should pray God's word. At the same time, you must never forget that God is sovereign and that He is not obligated to a name-it-and-claim-it theology. God will always do what is best. But at the same time you will do well to understand that when you pray God's word, you are actually praying both the mind and the perfect will of God for yourself.

b) If you follow a systematic plan of praying God's will, you will see dynamic growth take place in your life. You will become the man God intended you to be.

2. Attitude

Lord Jesus, I ask You now, using the very words that have been given me in the Holy Scriptures, to make certain that I always have an attitude of joy in You and an attitude and an expectancy that I can do all things through You who gives me Your strength to face the issues and problems of life. Thank You, Lord, for my happiness and joy. In Your name I pray. Amen.

3. God's Word

a) Mark 12:30-31 New King James Version (NKJV)

30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

b) Colossians 3:23 New King James Version (NKJV)

23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.

c) Philippians 4:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

d) Psalm 118:24 New King James Version (NKJV)

24 This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
