a) Do you have any Bible questions? Let the Bible surprise you with amazing answers. Below are some answers to the Bible questions frequently asked.

2. How many stalls and horsemen?

a) 1 Kings 4:26 says "And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen."

b) But 2 Chronicles 9:25 says "And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem."

c) 1 Kings 4:26 and 2 Chronicles 9:25 might simply be talking about different points in time. Perhaps Solomon had 4,000 stalls when 2 Chronicles 9:25 was written, and 40,000 when 1 Kings 4:26 was written. We understand that our answer is speculative, but so too is the claim that there's an alleged contradiction.
