PRAYING GOD'S WILL | REBELLIOUS (2)

1. Praying God's Will

a) What should you pray for? Scripture is clear that you should pray God's word. At the same time, you must never forget that God is sovereign and that He is not obligated to a name-it-and-claim-it theology. God will always do what is best. But at the same time you will do well to understand that when you pray God's word, you are actually praying both the mind and the perfect will of God for yourself.

b) If you follow a systematic plan of praying God's will, you will see dynamic growth take place in your life. You will become the man God intended you to be.

2. Rebellious

a) Lord God, through the power of Your word  I pray that no spirit of rebellion will ever enter into my life. Through the praying of Your word keep me free from any rebellious spirit or attitude. I pray to You and I thank You in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

3. God's Word

a) Hebrews 13:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

b) 1 Peter 5:5-6 New King James Version (NKJV)

5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

c) Philippians 2:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
