a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.

2. Sacrifice

a) God is pleased when we sacrifice what we have to do good deeds and share. It’s in the Bible, Hebrews 13:16, NKJV. “But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

b) Do what is right, and trust God with what you offer. It's in the Bible, Psalms 4:5, NKJV. “Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.”

c) Obedience is better than asking for forgiveness for your mistakes and sins. It’s in the Bible, 1 Samuel 15:22, NKJV. “So Samuel said: ‘Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.’”

d) Sacrificing our wealth, livelihood, time, and lives is worthless if it is done without love. It’s in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:3, NKJV. “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.”

e) Loving God and loving others wholeheartedly and with all that we have is worth more than anything we can offer as a sacrifice. It’s in the Bible, Mark 12:33, NKJV. “And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
