2. Pray Bible Promises

a) Proverbs 19:24 King James Version (KJV)

24 A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who are slothful, may have the food they they need to sustain life in a bowl, and have their hand in the bowl, but will not even lift their hand out of the bowl, and bring the food to their mouth.

Lord God, cause me to not be slothful, especially with Your Word, which is able to bring me eternal life.

b) Proverbs 19:25 King James Version (KJV)

25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that when punishing a scoffer, the simple may see, and learn wisdom, and when correcting someone who has understanding, he will increase in wisdom.

Lord God, cause me to be one who accepts correction, and increases in wisdom.
