THAT IS ONE REASON WHY

1. That Is One Reason Why

a) The Lord's Supper, also known as The Holy Communion, heals physically, emotionally and spiritually. The Lord's Supper is probably the only “drug” Jesus prescribed for healing.

b) The power of the Holy Communion is not in the bread or wine, but in our obedience to God. It is in exercising our faith we believe that as we take the Holy Communion something divine will happen. 

c) Apostle Paul tells us that the blood of Jesus brings forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:14, “Who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.” Besides being born again in Christ, Holy Communion is God's ordained channel of healing and wholeness. He knew what He would accomplish through His sacrifice on the cross.

d) We have to forgive those who have offended us because in forgiveness we qualify to receive God's forgiveness. That is one reason why we have to examine ourselves before taking communion.

1 Corinthians 11:27-30

[27] Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. [28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. [29] For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. [30] For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.
