1. Pride 

a) Pride is an infectious and dangerous attitude affecting so many people in this day and age.  Where does pride come from?  How does this kind of attitude affect you and your walk with God?  How does it affect others around you every day?

b) Pride is a device that can be so easily woven into anyone’s life.  It is an abomination to God and it must be kept in check.  We all fall prey to it and we need to repent when we do fall.  God bless you as you live out a life worthy of the calling.

Psalm 10:3-4

“In arrogance the wicked hotly pursue the poor; let them be caught in the schemes that they have devised, for the wicked boasts of the desires of his soul, and the one greedy for gain curses and renounces the Lord.  In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, ‘There is no God.’”

Proverbs 29:23
“One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.”

1 John 2:16-17
“For all that is in the world – the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions – is not from the Father but is from the world.  And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”
