2. Pray Bible Promises
a) 2 Peter 2:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
i) Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You know how to deliver the godly out of temptations.
ii) Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You reserve the unjust until the day of judgment, to be punished.
iii) Lord God, cause me to be godly, and deliver me out of temptations.
b) 2 Peter 3:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
i) Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that with You, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as one day.
c) 2 Peter 3:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
i) Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are not slow in keeping Your promise, as some understand slowness.
ii) Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are patient with us, not wanting any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.
iii) Lord God, be patient toward my foolishness, and lead me to repentance.
