2.0 Mindful Thoughts #25

a) People murmur and complain about the amount of work they have; they murmur and grumble about their salaries and living conditions, and never feel like they are treated fairly. Some may feel justified to voice their complains about their leadership for not doing what they supposed to do! In whatever circumstances, they be right or wanting to right the wrongs.

b) The Israelites murmured and complained. They were not satisfied with the manna. They were ungrateful people and longed for carnal desires of their flesh. You know what happened to them? They were kept out of the Promised Land.

c) Well! We can look at this in two ways. Often we emphasize the wrongs of the people by quoting scriptures. How about the affected party, the ones that should set a good example for others? More often than not the leadership is singled out!

d) In this respect, the leadership would have decided to get rid of the so-called trouble-makers even though their feedback may be constructive in nature. They do this maybe they feel insecure (or threatened). Why? Because others are doing better than them. They even stop others from advancing / doing in the church for fear they maybe replaced. It's all about self-preservation and self-containing.

e) They say that God has called them but they are behaving just the opposite. If God has called them, who can take away what God has given! After all these things belong to the Lord!

f) In all things, let God be the judge! He knows how to deal with these people and they have to give an account of their stewardship.

#1) Hebrews 10:31 Living Bible (TLB)

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
