1 PETER 1:15-16

“But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” - ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭15-16‬ ‭

Every Christian, whether rich or poor, learned or unlearned, influential or totally unknown , is called to imitate God's holiness in their actions, attitudes, and relationships.

Jerry Bridges was an influential Christian author and speaker known for his writings on the topics of holiness, discipleship, and God's grace. He believed that holiness was not something one could achieve solely through their own efforts, but through relying on God's grace and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in one's life. He was a strong example of someone who truly sought to live a holy life. His writings and teaching have encouraged Christians globally to continually strive for spiritual maturity and to walk in God's ways and grow in their relationship with Him.

1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭15-16‬ encourages believers to live with a sense of purpose and expectation. We are to be prepared mentally, to place our hope in Christ, and to strive for holiness. In this way, we can reflect God's character and bring glory to Him in a world that desperately needs His light.
