NUMBER 11 & THE 3RD RAINBOW

1. How does Number 11 come about?

a) On Sunday (17/08/2014) morning @11.10 am, the Lord clearly showed me Number 11. I was wondering what the Lord is trying to say for this revealed Number 11.

b) Then I remembered that on Saturday (16/08/2014), a double and single rainbows appeared on the sky directly opposite my house after raining. These rainbows were big. My second son took picture of the rainbows (see photo above) and video taped it. It was a wonderful sight. He sent it to my wife and she received the photo registered in her hand-phone @7.22pm.

2. How does number 11 have something to do with the above event?

The time my wife received the photo registered in her hand-phone @7.22pm is significant.

@7.22 pm = 7 + 2 + 2 = Number 11.

Revealed Number 11 = 2 ones, represents DOUBLE RAINBOWS.

The time which the Lord showed me Number 11 @11.10 am is also significant.

@11.10 am = 1 + 1 + 1 + 0 = 3 ones, meaning a DOUBLE & SINGLE RAINBOWS.

So, we have Number 11 and 3 RAINBOWS.

3. What does Number 11 mean?

a) The number eleven is the number of disorder, imperfection and incompleteness. Eleven signifies a state not yet full. After Judas betrayed Jesus, he committed suicide. One might ask why replace Judas since Jesus had been crucified. Since the twelve disciples represented the twelve tribes of Israel, Judas' replacement was necessary to bring the number back to the governmental number of twelve. Having only eleven disciples speaks of incompleteness.

b) Eleven also represents disorder. The parable about the workers coming to work in the eleventh hour is in contrast to what we believe to be right in order and arrangement (Matthew 20:6,9). Disorder arose when the earlier workers found out the eleventh hour workers got paid just as much as those who had worked all day.

c) The journey of the Israelites through the wilderness should have taken only eleven days (Deuteronomy 1:2). It turned into a 40 years journey because of disorder, disorganization, imperfection, and disintegration.

d) The number eleven can be traced throughout Jacob's life illustrating incompleteness. According to Genesis 32:22, Jacob took his two wives, and his two women-servants, and his eleven sons, and headed back home to confront his estranged brother Esau. At the time Jacob had only eleven sons because Benjamin had not yet been born. Benjamin's birth brought the total of Jacob's sons to twelve. But then Joseph (the eleventh son) was sold into slavery, and Jacob thought Joseph was dead. This took the total back to eleven.

e) During that period, much disorder and confusion characterized Jacob's household. Joseph spent eleven years in Potiphar's household where disorder caused by Potiphar's wife resulted in Joseph going to prison.

f) When your life seems to be disorderly, disorganized, imperfect and incomplete, check to see if an eleven is somehow involved.

4. What does the Bible say about Rainbow?

a) Rainbow is first mentioned in the book of Genesis and last mentioned in Revelation. The book of Ezekiel also has a reference to a rainbow.

I) Rainbow in Genesis

a) In Genesis account, a rainbow appear right after the great flood brought to destroy sinful and evil-minded man from the earth.

i) Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying: “And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your descendants after you, 10 and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, every beast of the earth. 11 Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” 12 And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; 15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.” (Genesis 9:8-17 NKJV)

b) What is the text all about?

i) Noah stepped out of the ark onto an earth devoid of human life. But God gave him a reassuring promise. This covenant had three parts:

@1. never again will a flood do such destruction;

@2. as long as the earth remains, the seasons will always come as expected;

@3. a rainbow will be visible when it rains as a sign to all that God will keep his promises.

ii) The earth's order and seasons are still preserved, and rainbows still remind us of God's faithfulness to his Word.

iii) The appearance of this rainbow symbolizes God's mercy and covenant with Noah not to destroy the world in such a way again.

II) Rainbow in Ezekiel

a) In the first vision from God, prophet Ezekiel compares the glory of God he saw with a rainbow!

i) 26 And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it. 27 Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LordSo when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking. (Ezekiel 1:26-28 NKJV)

b) What is the text all about?

i) This "appearance of man" revealed God's holiness and prepared Ezekiel for what God was about to tell him. The figure represented God himself on the throne. In a similar way, Christ revealed God in human form and prepared us for his message of salvation. Christ came into history in a real, human body.

ii) "The glory of the Lord" appeared like fire and brilliant light to Ezekiel. Ezekiel fell facedown, overwhelmed by the contrast between God's holiness and his own sinfulness and insignificance. Eventually every person will fall down before God, either out of reverence and awe for his mercy or out of fear of his judgment. Based on the way you are living to day, how will you respond to God's holiness?

iii) The rainbow over the throne symbolized God's never-ending faithfulness to his people. Just as God sent a rainbow to Noah to symbolize his promise never again to destroy earth by a flood (Genesis 9:8-17), so this rainbow symbolizes God's promise to preserve those who remain faithful to him.

III) Rainbow(s) in Revelation

a) Rainbows appear again in the prophetic book of Revelation, which foretell the end of man's rule on the earth and the coming of our Lord Jesus to set up his Kingdom on earth.

b) The first mention of rainbow in Revelation 4:1-3:

i) After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. (Revelation 4:1-3 NKJV)

ii) What is the text all about?

@1. Revelation chapter 4 & 5 record glimpses into Christ's glory. Here we see into the throne room of heaven. God is on the throne and orchestrating all the events that John will record. The world is not spinning out of control; the God of creation will carry out his plans as Christ initiates the final battle with the forces of evil. John shows us heaven before showing us earth so that we will not be frightened by future events.

@2. The voice John had first heard that sounded like a trumpet blast was the voice of Christ (see Revelation 1:10-11).

#1) 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, 11 saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.” (Revelation 1;10-11 NKJV)

@3. Four times in the book of Revelation John says he was "in the Spirit" (Revelation 1:10; 4:2; 17:3; 21:10). This expression means that the Holy Spirit was giving him a vision - showing him situations and events he could not have seen with mere human eyesight. All true prophecy comes from God through the Holy Spirit (see 2 Peter 1:20-21).

@4. The first mention of a "rainbow around the throne" when the apostle John uses it to describe the glory and power of God on his throne in Revelation 4:3.

c) The second mention of rainbow in Revelation 10:1-6:

i) I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.” The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer. (Revelation 10:1-6 NKJV)

ii) What is the text all about?

@1. The purpose of this mighty angel is clear - to announce the final judgments on the earth. His right foot on the sea and left foot on the land (Revelation 10:2) indicate that his words deal with all creation, not just a limited part as did the seal and trumpet judgments. The seventh trumpet (Revelation 11:15) will usher the seven bowl judgments, which will bring an end to the present world. When this universal judgment comes, God's truth will prevail.

@2. "A rainbow on his head" is a sign designated by God as reminder of the Noahic Covenant (Genesis 9:8-17). Wherever a rainbow is found, it is a sign that speaks to God of his covenant to never destroy the earth again with water. Not, mind you, that he needs any reminder. But, he has chosen to have that sign before him at all times. That's why there is one around his throne (Revelation 4:3). There are literally thousands of rainbows that are visible on the earth at any one given moment in time and our God is a covenant making and keeping God. His Word is his bond.

5. What is God saying regarding Number 11 and the 3rd RAINBOW? What is the main theme for all these?

a) God is saying that despite the number of disorder, imperfection and incompleteness in our lives, He has a surprise for us. The 3rd RAINBOW.

b) This year 2014 is a year of "DOUBLE." A year of "DOUBLE RAINBOW FAVORS AND FLAVORS." A year of "REBIRTHS, RESTORATION & REVIVALS." So having a DOUBLE RAINBOWS in our lives is as naturally as God will it for us. However, there is still a 3rd RAINBOW,  a rainbow that is not so visible and this is a plus point that God wants to add it to us on top of the DOUBLE RAINBOWS. Definitely He has something up to His sleeve for us.

b) The main theme is "THE 3RD RAINBOW."
