GCC BENTONG TRIP

1. Picture of Gears and God's Revealed Number 8, 9, 2.

a) On 13th November 2015 (Friday) morning prayer at Susila's home, the Lord vividly showed me a picture of different sizes of gears connected to one another but not moving and just beside these gears were Number 8, 9, 2.

2. God's Revealed Number 8, 9, 2

a) In actual fact, I didn't really understand the meaning of these numbers until an incident happened:

i) Our home cell has planned a Prayer / Outing Retreat on 14 - 15 November 2015 at Grace Commission Community (GCC) Bentong, Pahang which is on the East Coast of Malaysia. We have decided to stay at GCC Bentong on 14th November 2015 (Saturday) night so that we could go up to the GCC Prayer Mountain to catch the early morning sun on 15th November 2015 (Sunday). Thereafter, we could have our devotion, prayer dedication for the GCC Prayer Mountain before check-out at noon.

ii) Just a few days before we would depart, there were reports of landslide on 54.2 km Karak Highway access road to GCC Bentong. We were advised to take alternative route but this route was also reported having a few landslides, thus the access road to GCC Bentong was also denied. This was due to heavy rain during the monsoon season on the East Coast of Malaysia from October 2015 - March 2016.

iii) Because of this situation, we have to postpone our Bentong trip to 19 - 20 December 2015. Little do I know that the revealed Number 8, 9, 2 was meant for the date 19th December 2015 (if we add 8 + 9 +2 = 19). Then, I begin to realize why the access road to GCC Bentong was totally denied. It could only mean one thing; it's not the right time for us to be at the place. The date of 19 December 2015 seems to be the most timely for our retreat.

3. Picture of Gears

a) The word gear appears in the following scripture passages:

i) Genesis 27:2-4 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

2 Isaac said, “Behold now, I am old and I do not know the day of my death. 3 Now then, please take your gear (weapons), your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me; 4 and prepare a savory dish for me such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, so that my soul may bless you before I die.”

ii) 1 Peter 1:13-16 The Message (MSG)

13-16 So roll up your sleeves, put your mind in gear (prepare your mind for action), be totally ready to  receive the gift that’s coming when Jesus arrives. Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better then; you do now. As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, “I am holy; you be holy.”

b) The Whole Armor of God

i) Ephesians 6:10-20 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

4. Conclusion

a) At the appointed time, the Lord wants us to pray for the GCC Prayer Mountain like King Solomon's Prayer of Dedication for the Temple in 1 Kings 8:22-61.

b) We should always put the whole armor of God so that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
