JUDAS ISCARIOT'S REGRET

1. Regret

a) One of the biggest ways that Satan tries to get at us all is with regret.  It is so easy to go back and relive memories that we aren’t proud of. Satan will do anything possible to get at us mentally.

b) Regret can be a devastating monster if we don’t keep it in check.  The Bible has many verses to read on this issue.  Some verses are from people feeling regret; some are for battling against regret.

c) Regret can be a pain.  Look at what David, Peter and Job experienced.  They were in misery and anguish.  However, Jesus’ death for us all on the cross covers all of the sins that lead us to regret.

1 John 1:9

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

d) So, if you have regrets, give them to God in prayer.  Ask Him to walk with you as you move through these regrets and most importantly, if you have not repented, wait no longer!  God bless you as you live a life worthy of the calling!

Judas Iscariot's Regret

Matthew 27:3-5
“Then when Judas, His (Jesus) betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he changed his mind and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, saying, ‘I have sinned by betraying innocent blood!’  They said, ‘What is that to us?  See to it yourself.’  And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, he departed, and he went and hanged himself.”

a) Please if you are feeling thoughts like Judas did, seek help immediately!  There is no sin that is too big for God to handle!  Suicide is never the right answer to your problems.
