1. Paul’s Essay On Faith

a) This is an outline Romans. In this, Paul teaches us about faith in Christ.

2. Darkness Of The Faithless

a) The wicked know about God (Romans 1:18-20).

i) It is they themselves who suppress the truth.

ii) The Creator has made himself evident to them.

iii) They are without excuse.

b) The wicked nevertheless dishonour God (Romans 1:21-32).

i) They don't give thanks to God.

ii) Prefer their own wisdom.

iii) Worship the creature rather than the Creator.

iv) Practise sexual immorality.

v) Approve of what they know God condemns.

c) They think they are righteous when they are not (Romans 2:1-5).

i) They condemn themselves by judging others hypocritically.

ii) They show contempt for God's kindness by boasting of their own worthiness.

iii) They are storing up wrath for themselves because of their impenitence.
