1. Bible Verses and Quotes

a) Read scriptures that offer guidance, support and encouragement on subjects dealing with faith, such as Christian faith, faith in healing, faith in prayer, faith in others, and hope. Read verses from the Holy Bible about faith in relation to God, Jesus Christ, and the Christian faith.

i) Galatians 3:11-12

Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith."  The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them."

ii) Galatians 3:22-26

But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.  Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.  So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.  Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.  You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,

iii) Galatians 5:5

But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.

iv) Hebrews 10:22

let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

v) Habakkuk 2:4

"See, he is puffed up; his desires are not upright-- but the righteous will live by his faith.
