0. The Story of Balaam
(Numbers 22-24:25)

a) At King Balak's request Balaam traveled nearly 400 miles to curse Israel. Balak took Balaam to Bamoth Baal ("the high places of Baal"), then to Mount Pisgah, and finally to Mount Peor. Each place looked over the plains of Moab where the Israelites camped. But to the king's dismay, Balaam blessed, not cursed, Israel.
