GOSPELS HARMONY (234)
0. Introduction
a) All four books in the Bible that tell the story of Jesus Christ - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John - stand alone, emphasizing a unique aspect of Jesus' life. But when these are blended into one complete account, or harmonized, we gain new insights into the life of Christ.
III. Events: Death & Resurrection of Jesus Christ
1. Jesus is led away to be crucified.
a) Matthew 27:32-34
i) 32 Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross. 33 And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull, 34 they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink. (Matthew 27:32-34 NKJV)
b) Other Gospel references
i) Mark: 15:21-24
ii) Luke: 23:26-31
iii) John: 19:17
