WHY IS THE PERFECT HUMANITY OF CHRIST IMPORTANT?

1. Why is the perfect humanity of Christ important?

a) We have seen that Christ was a man, a perfect man.

b) Why is this truth important?

i) Only a Man could make God fully known to men. Only a man can die. We need the God-Man to pray for us, 1 Timothy 2:5.

ii) Only a sinless Man could die for others. If there was one sin on Jesus, He would have had to die for His own sin. The Lamb of God was perfect. The Son of God was a complete Man, a sinless Man.
