A SPECIAL GRACE

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Triple 7

a) On 19/12/2015 early morning @5.15 am, my blog page-views for today (analytics) showed a triple seven (777). It dawns on me that there must be something that the Lord is trying to say regarding this.

2. Representation

a) Time 5.15 am = 5 + 15 (5 x 3) = 5 + triple 5

i) So, we have Number 5 symbolizes God's grace, goodness and favor toward humans and is mentioned 318 times in Scripture. Five is the number of grace, and multiplied by itself, which is 25, is "grace upon grace" (John 1:16). Triple 5 suggests a special grace given for on top of "grace upon grace.

b) Page-views triple seven = 777

i) Seven is used 735 times (54 times in the book of Revelation alone), and is the foundation of God's word.

ii) Seven is the number of completeness and perfection (both physical and spiritual). It derives much of its meaning from being tied directly to God's creation of all things. The word 'created' is used 7 times describing God's creative work (Genesis 1:1, 21, 27 three times; 2:3; 2:4). There are 7 days in a week and God's Sabbath is on the 7th day.

iii) The total number of originally inspired books was forty-nine, or 7 x 7, demonstrating the absolute perfection of the Word of God.

3. What can we derive from these representations?

a) "Grace"derives from the Greek word, charis. In secular Greek, charis was related to chairo, "to rejoice." As far back as Homer it denoted "sweetness" or "attractiveness." Charis came to signify "favor,""goodwill,"and loving-kindness"- especially as granted by a superior to an inferior.

b) In the New Testament, "grace"(156 times) takes on a special redemptive sense in which God makes available his favor on behalf of sinners, who actually do not deserve it. It is unmerited favor given. Human salvation is the result of Heaven's grace.

c) Completeness and perfection in God's creative work for both physical and spiritual.

4. What is God saying?

a) There is a special grace given on top of "grace upon grace" (John 1:16). The completeness of His work (assignment) for both physical and spiritual results in attractiveness and sweetness of the Lord. The Lord's favor, goodwill and loving-kindness will surely follow to rejoicing. Do you have a work (or assignment) from the Lord?

The End ...
