BIBLE VERSES: PATIENCE (3)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. PATIENCE

a) Do you need help slowing down? This collection of patience Bible verses is designed to focus your thoughts on what God's Word says about waiting on the Lord and persevering.

i) Colossians 3:12-13

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. (NLT)

ii) Hebrews 6:12

We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. (NIV)

iii) 1 Thessalonians 5:14

And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. (NIV)

iv) James 1:19-20

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. (NIV)

v) James 5:7-8

Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near. (NIV)

vi) Revelation 14:12

This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus. (NLT)
