1. Another Jesus

a) Feature Scripture Text

2 Corinthians 11:4 

For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.

b) The Bible warns us about being led astray. If you do have followed another Jesus you would have expressed a different spirit and thus having a different gospel than the one Paul preached.

 

c) There are some organisations claiming to be Christian but preach another Jesus. We must be aware of their organization’s heresy:

@1. Jesus Christ is Michael the Archangel.

@2. Jesus is a man; Christ is an ideal.

@3. Jesus is the first of many spirit children of Elohim.

@4. Jesus is like Santa Claus who, on demand, provides His people with health and financial prosperity.

@5. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was not sufficient to save us from all our sins. Consequently, a person who died with an un-confessed, small or venial, sin is required to go to purgatory to make atonement for them and cleanse their soul.

d) Some organizations that do not claim to be Christian but do teach about another Jesus:

@1. Jesus is a dead prophet.

@2. Jesus is a dead teacher or master.

@3. Jesus was a prophet. He did not die on the cross or was physically resurrected from the dead.

e) Who then is this real Jesus in the Bible? What are his attributes?

@1. He is God who took on human flesh.

John 1:14 

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

@2. He was born by a virgin.

Luke 1:34-35 

And Mary said to the angel, "How will this be, since I am a virgin?" And the angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy - the Son of God.

@3. The One and only begotten Son of God.

John 3:16 

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

@4. Only He can saves us from our sins.

Acts 4:12 

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

@5. He is alive and Lord over all things.

Ephesians 1:20-23 

That he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

f) Are you preaching another Jesus? You may have to check against apostle Paul’s writings as he is the one who is inspired to write this question itself warning against those who preach another Jesus than the one he preached. 

Daniel 12:3

And those teaching do shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars to the age and for ever.

Philippians 2:15

So that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world.
