THREE SIDES TO EVERY STORY

1. Three Sides To Every Story

a) People remember there are always two sides to every story. But they forget that understanding is a three edged sword. Your side, their side and the truth in the middle.

b) What does two sides to every story mean?

@1. It is always worth listening to or trying to understand both opposing perspectives of a given situation.

c) But the fact is there are three sides to every story – yours, mine, and the truth.

@1. For example, every person in your company who deals directly with customers knows this.

@2. Many employees would rush to defend the company when a problem with a customer arises. The problem is, the cost might be losing the customer.

d) Let's look at this verse:

Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

@1. Here Paul presents two sides to a message. If you put on your thinking cap, there is yet another message to it.

@2. He is talking about life and death. While you are still alive you live for Christ and should death comes, it is a promotion to heavenly home.

@3. From life to death, there is yet a timeline concerning the purpose of God for your life and with that a God-given testimony to glorify his name. For there is no greater story than the ones that connect with God's story for a greater story! A story that is usually overwhelming (not able to be resisted).

@4. Therefore, choose life so that both you and as a result your generations continue to live.

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.
