a) Proverbs 16:33 King James Version (KJV)

33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from You.

Lord God, thank You for governing this world, even when it seems to be by chance.

b) Proverbs 17:1 King James Version (KJV)

17 Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that it is better to have a dry morsel of food, and quietness, than a house full of sacrifices with strife.

Lord God, cause me to have a quiet demeanor, and my house to be peaceful.
