WHAT IS GOD SAYING?
a) In the book of Matthew, Jesus makes this promise: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7). God wants to bless us. He wants to lead us, guide us, and teach us. But He does not often answer questions that we never ask Him.
b) “So don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34). If you're worrying about tomorrow, you cannot enjoy today. You miss today's blessings.
c) Jesus, however, calls us to live in the kairos of God's rule, in this moment, seeking and searching for God with each breath we take and with each moment that passes. Living in the kairos of God carries with it an emphasis on being in the present.
d) This is God's goal for us, even when things are not going the way you want them to go. God's desire is to make us holy, not just temporarily happy. True happiness is a “blessed” life, and it only comes when we seek God first, above all else.
e) We must come sincerely and humbly with faith and trust and belief in our hearts. The Bible makes it plain what Jesus would say to the world today: Repent, for the kingdom of God is near.
f) Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world — the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life — is not from the Father but is from the world. (1 John 2:15-17)
g) Our past has changed, because, in God's eyes, we have no past, only a great future. In Jeremiah 29:11, He says: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
"Dear Lord, I pray today that I will yield my spirit completely to You, that You may use me as You please. I pray that You will provide me opportunities to show people how much You mean to me. Give me discretion to know what to say and how to say it."
