PSALM 78:4

“We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.” - ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭78‬:‭4‬ ‭

The Christian life is like a relay race. We’re each called not only to be disciples of Christ but to actively engage in spreading the Gospel, making new disciples, and nurturing ongoing spiritual growth.

John Haggai was an influential Christian leader and evangelist who dedicated his life to training and equipping leaders around the world. He founded the Haggai Institute in 1969 with a mission to support leadership development and the sharing of the Gospel globally. The institute has since trained thousands of leaders from more than 190 countries. He passed away in 2020 at age 96. His vision and commitment to training and empowering leaders still continue through the work of the Haggai Institute by equipping younger leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to continue the work of spreading the Gospel and positively impacting their societies.

Psalm 78:4 emphasises the responsibility of the older generation to pass down their collective experiences, particularly those that involve the hand of God in their lives, to their children and grandchildren. By doing so, we ensure that future generations are upheld in their faith, rooted in their heritage, and equipped to face the challenges of life with the knowledge and assurance of God's faithfulness.
