SELF-CONFIDENCE (3)
(Message by Tanny Keng)
1. Being SELF-CONFIDENT in Faith
a) As we grow in our faith, we grow in self-confidence. He is always there for us. He is our strength, our shield, our helper. Growing closer to God means growing more confident in our beliefs.
Hebrews 13:6
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (NIV)
Psalm 27:3
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. (NIV)
Joshua 1:9
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (NLT)
1 John 4:18
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. (NLT)
Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (NKJV)
