NUMBER THREE (3-8)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

0. Introduction

a) 3 stands for that which is solid, real, substantial, complete, and entire. All things that are specially complete are stamped with this number. It is interesting to note what other mention(s) for 3 can be found in the Bible.

1. The Old Testament is divided into 3

a) The Old Testament Testimony was complete and perfect in its three-fold division which was the Law, Prophets, and Psalms (Luke 24:44). The same three divisions mark its character to the present day.

b) As three marks completeness and perfection of testimony, so it marks the number of spiritual worshippers; and intimates that true spiritual worshippers would always be few.
