DISCOVER BIBLE | THE SERVANT OF JHWH

1. Introduction

a) The Bible is full of wonderful stories and special truth. What we want to do is to discover the Bible.  

b) Psalm 119:11 says, "Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You." 

c) Nurture and grow your understanding of the Bible as you read and discover the Bible.  

2. The Servant of JHWH

a) David became an outstanding example of a servant:

i) Jerusalem made the capital of a united Israel.

ii) He put worship at the heart of the nation.

iii) He headed the line ordained to rule Israel forever.

iv) He established justice and righteousness in his realm.

v) He learned to bow his will to God's will in all things.

vi) He laid the plans for the Temple.

vii) He led in preparation of a hymnbook for Israel.

3. The Servant of Jehovah

a) The references below give you an opportunity to do some personal, independent study of this subject. Using these scriptures, jot down your personal conclusions on a note sheet.

i) Angels - Job 4:18.

ii) Abraham - Genesis 26:24.

iii) Isaac - Genesis 24:14.

iv) Jacob - Exodus 32:13.

v) Moses - Exodus 14:31.

vi) Joshua - Joshua 24:29.

vii) Caleb - Numbers 14:24.

viii) Job - Job 1:8.

ix) Hezekiah - 2 Chronicles 22:6

x) Zerubbabel - Hagai 2:23.

xi) Eliakim - Isaiah 22:10.

xii) The Prophets - 2 Kings 9:7.

xiii) Messiah - Isaiah 49:5-7.
