DISCOVER BIBLE | 2 SAMUEL 1-5

1. Introduction

a) The Bible is full of wonderful stories and special truth. What we want to do is to discover the Bible.  

b) Psalm 119:11 says, "Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You." 

c) Nurture and grow your understanding of the Bible as you read and discover the Bible.  

2. Outline:

a) David became King of Judah - 2 Samuel 1:1-4:12.

i) David made King at Hebron - 2 Samuel 1:1-2:4.

ii) Men of Jebesh-Gilead blessed for burying Saul - 2 Samuel 2:4-7.

iii) Victory over Northern Tribes - 2 Samuel 2:8-3:5.


iv) Northern Tribes turn to David - 2 Samuel 3:6-4:12.

b) David became King of Judah and Israel - 2 Samuel 5:1-20; 26.

i) Tribes rally to David - 2 Samuel 5:1-5.

ii) Jerusalem made capital of Israel - 2 Samuel 5:6-16.

iii) Victories over the Philistines - 2 Samuel 5:17-25.
