DISCOVER BIBLE | 2 SAMUEL 19-24 (1 CHRONICLES 21)
1. Introduction
a) The Bible is full of wonderful stories and special truth. What we want to do is to discover the Bible.
b) Psalm 119:11 says, "Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You."
c) Nurture and grow your understanding of the Bible as you read and discover the Bible.

@1. In order to help you correlate these sections of scripture, we are going to parallel portions of each book which cover the same events.
@2. As you study in this way, you will begin to see how the different emphases of the writers directed their choice of materials.
a) 2 Samuel 19-24:
i) Joab causes the king to stop mourning - 2 Samuel 19:1-14.
ii) David returns to Jerusalem - 2 Samuel 19:15-43.
iii) Sheba revolts against David - 2 Samuel 20:1-13.
iv) Sheba is slain - 2 Samuel 20:14-26.
v) Seven sons of Saul hanged - 2 Samuel 21:1-14.
vi) Abihsai rescues David from the Giant - 2 Samuel 21:15-22.
vii) David's song of deliverance - 2 Samuel 22:1-51.
viii) The last words of David - 2 Samuel 23:1-7.
ix) David's mighty men - 2 Samuel 23:8-39.
x) David's numbers Israel and Judah - 2 Samuel 24:1-9.
xi) God punishes David - 2 Samuel 24:10-25.
b) 1 Chronicles 21:
i) David numbers Israel and Judah - 1 Chronicles 21:1-6.
ii) David chooses his punishment - 1 Chronicles 21:7-17.
iii) David builds an altar - 1 Chronicles 21:18-30.
