GOD IS YOUR REFUGE (10)
(Message by Tanny Keng)
1. God is your Refuge
(Colossians 3:3-4)
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
(Psalms 9:9-10)
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. {10} And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.
2. Other Scriptures
(Isaiah 33:15-17)
He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, He who despises the gain of oppressions, Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil: {16} He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, His water will be sure. {17} Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; They will see the land that is very far off.
(Jeremiah 16:19-21)
O LORD, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You From the ends of the earth and say, “Surely our fathers have inherited lies, Worthlessness and unprofitable things.” {20} Will a man make gods for himself, Which are not gods? {21} “Therefore behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know My hand and My might; And they shall know that My name is the LORD.
