WE CAN'T SAY WE DON'T REALLY CARE!

1. We Can't Say We Don't Really Care!

a) Some people have the attitude of couldn't care less. They do not care about what others think of them. All they want is to get what they want at all cost even it means to pull others down. They are selfish and have no regard to others. They don't care about their own reputation. In fact, they glorify such unbecoming behaviors and expect others to accept them.

b) When their names are mentioned or heard others immediately perceive they having a reputation of unbecoming behaviors (not fitting or appropriate). They always have a pattern of bad reputation.

c) The Bible says a good reputation is more valuable than the most expensive perfume... (Ecclesiastes 7:1).

d) What does it mean?

@1. It means that your reputation is all about the general belief or opinion that other people have about you. If you are considered trustworthy and kind, you have a good reputation. It's how people consider or label you.

e) A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather than silver and gold (Proverbs 22:1). Both riches (silver and gold) and an honorable reputation (loving favor, respect) are generally considered good.

f) But if one has to choose between them, Solomon says, “Choose a good name.” Solomon's son Rehoboam chose wealth (i.e. higher taxes) rather than the love and respect of his people.

g) When we speak of someone as having a good name, we are usually referring to a good reputation.

h) It takes a lifetime to build a good name, but it can be destroyed in an instant by one bad decision.

i) We can't say we don't really care about what others think about us because we are not an island by itself. If we do, we would become a recluse!

j) God didn't just create an individual but in reality a family. So, there will be interaction no doubt!

k) So, remember! Your good reputation is worth more than money or anything else!
