ASHAMED (3)

1. Bible Topic

a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.

2. Ashamed

a) Know the Bible for yourself, so that you will not be ashamed by talking about things you do not know. It’s in the Bible, 2 Timothy 2:15, CEB. “Make an effort to present yourself to God as a tried-and-true worker, who doesn’t need to be ashamed but is one who interprets the message of truth correctly."

b) We put Jesus to shame when we purposefully and willfully sin. It's in the Bible, Hebrews 6:4-7, NKJV. "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame."

c) When He comes, God will be ashamed of us if we are ashamed of Him. It’s in the Bible, Luke 9:26, NIV. “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”

d) How did the disciples react to suffering shame for Jesus's name? It's in the Bible, Acts 5: 41, NKJV. "So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name."

e) Jesus is not ashamed to call us His brothers and sisters. It's in the Bible, Hebrews 2:1, NKJV. "For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren"

f) God is not ashamed to be our God, because He will justify our faith in Him. It's in the Bible, Hebrews 11:16, NKJV. "But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them."
