GRACE FOR THE MOMENT | GOD'S PRIORITY

1. Grace for the Moment

a) "Grace for the Moment" is a collection of thoughts that are inspirational. They are intended to encourage, to give hope, and to inspire the viewers.

b) Reading a thought can change the way you think about something.

2. Scripture Verse

i) Psalm 37:5 New Century Version (NCV)

Depend on the Lord;
    trust him, and he will take care of you.

3. Thoughts

a) God is committed to caring for our needs. Paul tells us that a man won't feed his own family is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8).

1Timothy 5:8 New Century Version (NCV)

Whoever does not care for his own relatives, especially his own family members, has turned against the faith and is worse than someone who does not believe in God.

b) How much more will a holy God care for his children? After all, how can we fulfill His mission unless our needs are met? How can we teach or minister or influence unless we have our basic needs satisfied? Will God enlist us in His army and not provide a commissary? Of course not.

c) "I pray that the God of peace will give you everything you need so you can do what He wants" (Hebrews 13:20-21)

Hebrews 13:20-21 New Century Version (NCV)

20-21 I pray that the God of peace will give you every good thing you need so you can do what he wants. God raised from the dead our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep, because of the blood of his death. His blood began the eternal agreement that God made with his people. I pray that God will do in us what pleases him, through Jesus Christ, and to him be glory forever and ever. Amen.

d) Hasn't that prayer been answered in our life? We may not have had a feast, but haven't we always had food? Perhaps there was no banquet, but at least there was bread. And many times there was a banquet.
