a) Proverbs 20:5 King James Version (KJV)

5 Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the prudent are quiet, not revealing everything they know, but a man of understanding actively seeks their wisdom, and will be able to draw good counsel from them.

Lord God, cause me to receive good counsel from those who have wisdom and understanding.

b) Proverbs 20:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that most men boast of their goodness, but are liars.

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, wise, and merciful, and make my love for others be evident through my actions.
