2 CHRONICLES 16:9

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.” (‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬)

Christians are often influenced by the world to be independent and strong in their flesh. If we could see our deep and profound need for an all-powerful, all knowing, omnipotent God, our choices and decisions would be different.

William Booth was a British Methodist pastor and the founder of The Salvation Army, which is now a well-known global Christian charitable organization that is committed to helping the less fortunate and marginalised individuals.  He established shelters, soup kitchens, and charity shops around the world. His compassion for those affected by poverty, addiction, social deprivation and his determination to make a positive difference have left an enduring impact on society, making him an influential figure in the history of philanthropy and social justice.

Today’s Scripture in 2 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭shows us the importance of wholehearted devotion to God and trusting in His faithfulness. It reminds us that God is constantly searching for individuals whose hearts are completely obedient and serving Him. He will enlarge our territory and prosper us if our hearts are aligned with His will and purposes.

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.” - Hebrews 12:2
