HEWBREWS 4:12
God doesn’t promise us a life free from problems. He has given us the tools we need to overcome our challenges through The Word of God that has the transformative power in guiding our lives.
Watchman Nee is considered one of the most important indigenous church leaders and thinkers in the history of Chinese Christianity. He is best known for his Christian writings and teachings, which have greatly influenced the global Christian community. He was accused of espionage, counter-revolutionary activities, financial and even moral irregularities and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. The Word of God grounded him in his faith and enabled him to endure and persevere in the face of adversity. He died while still in prison at age 69.
Today’s Scripture in Hebrews 4:12 teaches us that the Word of God is alive, active, and powerful. It cuts through the depths of our being, discerning our thoughts and attitudes. It is not a stagnant book but a divine revelation that invites us into deeper relationship with God. As believers, we should approach Scripture with reverence and open hearts, allowing its transformative power to shape us into the image of Christ.
“If your mind is filled with the Word of God, then it can't be filled with impure thoughts.” - David Jeremiah
