REMOVING HINGES

1. Removing Hinges

a) I have been asking the Lord to abundantly bless me in my family, my ministry and my business. I know the opening in which the blessings flow is through the gate entrance, the door entrance and the window entrance.

b) I have been praying for extraordinary miracles to happen, asking the Lord to open the gate, the door and the window for the different breakthroughs of my life, my ministry and my business.

c) Throughout the period of knocking, the Lord has drawn my attention to something common in the gate, the door and the window. Every gate, every door and every window has at least 2 hinges attached to it. So, "hinges" seems to be the common object.

d) I looked up in the Webster's dictionary for the meaning of "hinge".

i) A joint or device on which a door, gate, lid, etc. swings.

ii) Anything on which matters turn or depend, pivot.

e) As long as the gate, the door and the window have hinges, it allows flexibility and mobility. In this respect, we may face:

i) Close entrance.

ii) Partial opening entrance.

f) The 'close entrance" may mean no breakthroughs and the "partial opening entrance" may mean partial breakthroughs  i.e. off and on breakthroughs. For smooth and uninterrupted flow of breakthroughs, the hinges attached to the gate, the door and the window must be removed and thus, allows the gate, the door and the window to be taken away. In this way, there will not be any resistance to the flow of breakthroughs.

g) Our Lord Jesus Christ was a carpenter and he knew how to completely remove the hinges without any hicups.

h) We ought to pray and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to help us remove the hinges attached to the gate, the door and the window if we want smooth and uninterrupted flow of blessings.

2. Significance mentioned in the Bible

a) Gate

i) 13“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. (Matthew 7:13 NIV)

ii) 9I (Jesus) am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. (John 10:9 NIV)

iii) 10Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. (Malachi 3:10 NIV)

b) Door

i) 3Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips. (Psalms 141:3 NIV)

ii) 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (Matthew 6:6 NIV)

iii) 7“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7 NIV))

iv) 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. (Revelation 3:20 NIV)

c) Window

i) 14Now Elisha had been suffering from the illness from which he died. Jehoash king of Israel went down to see him and wept over him. “My father! My father!” he cried. “The chariots and horsemen of Israel!”

15Elisha said, “Get a bow and some arrows,” and he did so. 16 "Take the bow in your hands,” he said to the king of Israel. When he had taken it, Elisha put his hands on the king’s hands.

17“Open the east window,” he said, and he opened it. “Shoot!” Elisha said, and he shot. “The Lord’s arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Aram!” Elisha declared. “You will completely destroy the Arameans at Aphek.”

18Then he said, “Take the arrows,” and the king took them. Elisha told him, “Strike the ground.” He struck it three times and stopped. 19The man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times.” (2 Kings 13:14-19 NIV)

3. Prayer focus

a) Pray that our Lord Jesus Christ will remove hinges of our gate, door and the window so that we may enjoy the smooth and uninterrupted flow of blessings.
