2 CORINTHIANS 4:7

“We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” (‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬)

Too often, when we suffer some kind of rejection or disappointment, we get so discouraged that we just give up on our dreams.

Demos Shakarian was a visionary entrepreneur and Christian evangelist who founded the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI) in 1952, the organisation I served as its National President in Malaysia from 2009-2012. His life and leadership demonstrated resilience, perseverance, and a deep reliance on God's guidance despite facing many challenges and setbacks. His legacy lies in the countless lives that have been transformed through FGBMFI, as individuals have been encouraged, empowered, and equipped to make a lasting positive impact in their respective communities.

Today’s Scripture in 2 Corinthians 4:7 reminds us that the gospel message is entrusted to us as flawed individuals, demonstrating that the transformative power belongs to God alone. It encourages humility, reliance on Him, and serves as a testament to the extraordinary work God can accomplish through ordinary people like us.

“Attempt great things for God and expect great things from God.”
