NUMBERS 6 & 9

1. How do Numbers 6 and 9 come about?

a) On 25/05/2014 Sunday Celebration Service, the Lord clearly showed me a few numbers at different times:

10.52am - Numbers 4 and 5

11.06am - Numbers 2 and 7

11.10am - Numbers 1 and 1

12.52pm - Number 6

2. Representation

a) In this case, we have double 9 (4 + 5) and (2 + 7), double 1 (1 and 1) and 6.

b) Double 9 represents having double impact for Number 9.

c) Double 1 represents a double portion for Number 9. This is sure of things to come.

d) Single 6 represents a normal Number 6.

3. The Meanings of Number 6 and 9

a) Number 6

i) In the Bible, the number 6 symbolizes man and human weakness, the evils of Satan and the manifestation of sin. Man was created on the sixth day. Men are appointed 6 days to labor.

ii) A Hebrew slave was to serve six years and be released in the 7th year. Six years were appointed for the land to be sown and harvested. The number 6 is also associated with Satan in his temptation of Jesus.

b) Number 9

i) Number 9 is used 49 times in Scripture, the number 9 symbolizes divine completeness or conveys the meaning of finality. Christ died at the 9th hour of the day, or 3 p.m., to make the way of salvation open to everyone. The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) is the only one of God's annual Feast days of worship that requires believers to fast for one day. This special day, considered by many Jews to be the holiest of the year, begins at sunset on the 9th day of the seventh Hebrew month (Leviticus 23:32).

ii) Nine also represents the fruits of God's Holy Spirit, which are Faithfulness, Gentleness, Goodness, Joy, Kindness, Long suffering, Love, Peace and Self-control (Galatians 5:22 - 23).

4. How do we reconcile Number 6 and 9? What is the main theme for these 2 numbers?

a) God is about to bring to completion of all final things. He will do it through His Holy Spirit and Man in his weakness has to cultivate the fruits of His Holy Spirit in order to bring about the finality (or completion) of things to come.

b) God is also developing His Characters in us so that we can bring about the change so needed in this corrupt world. The world will see us being different and ultimately desiring the illuminating glory of God in our lives, having a double impact on those around us. This shall surely come to pass.
