GOD (4)

1. Bible Topic
a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.
2. GOD
a) God loves us like a doting father. It’s in the Bible, 1 John 3:1, NKJV. “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”
b) We are to follow God’s example of love. It’s in the Bible, 1 John 4:11, NKJV. “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
c) We are to be holy like God is. It's in the Bible, 1 Peter 1:14-16, CEB. "Don’t be conformed to your former desires, those that shaped you when you were ignorant. But, as obedient children, you must be holy in every aspect of your lives, just as the one who called you is holy. It is written, 'You will be holy, because I am holy.'"
d) God’s love means that He must sometimes discipline us. It’s in the Bible, Proverbs 3:11-12, NKJV. “My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor detest His correction; for whom the LORD loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights.”
e) God never gives up on us. It’s in the Bible, Jeremiah 31:3, NKJV. “The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: ‘Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you.’”
f) Nothing can separate us from God’s love. It’s in the Bible, Romans 8:38-39, NIV. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
