JESUS CHRIST (1)

1. Bible Topic
a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.
2. Jesus Christ
a) Jesus, who is divine and has existed from eternity became a man to live on earth with us. It's in the Bible, John 1:1,14, NIV. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… . The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
b) Why was it necessary for Jesus to take on human nature? It was necessary to make atonement for our sins. It's in the Bible, Hebrews 2:14-15, 17, NIV. "Since the children have flesh and blood, he [Jesus] too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. . . . For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.”
c) As a human, Jesus was tempted just as we are - yet He never sinned. It's in the Bible, Hebrews 4:14-15, NKJV. " Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
d) Jesus demonstrated His divinity by His resurrection. It's in the Bible, Mark 16:6, TLB. "But the angel said, 'Don't be so surprised. Aren't you looking for Jesus, the Nazarene who was crucified? He isn't here! He has come back to life! Look, that's where His body was lying."
