JUDGMENT (1)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Bible Topic

a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.

2. Judgment

a) All will be judged before God. It's in the Bible, Revelation 20:12, NIV. "And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books."

b) People will be judged by what they have done. It's in the Bible, Matthew 16:27, NIV. "For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what he has done."

c) The standard in the judgment will be God's law. It's in the Bible, James 2:10-12, NIV. "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. For He who said, 'Do not commit adultery,' also said, ‘Do not murder.' If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker. Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom."

d) God's judgment will be fair. It's in the Bible, Acts 17:31, NIV. "For He has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising Him from the dead."

e) No one escapes the judgment. It's in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 5:10, NIV. "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad."

f) Nothing can be kept hidden in the judgment. It's in the Bible, Ecclesiastes 12:14, NIV. "For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil."

The End ...
