A MESSAGE FOR THE SEASON

1. A Time For Everything
a) God offers much wisdom in the saying, “There is a right time for everything, / and a season for every activity under the heavens.” God is sovereign. Our activity in this world is meaningful as we rely on His wisdom, His timing, and His goodness.
b) “He has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). The proper activity at the right time, bringing about God’s purposes, is a beautiful part of God’s overall plan. A tapestry, viewed from the back, seems a chaotic and unlovely work; but the maker of the tapestry has a wise purpose for the placement of each thread.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth:
A right time for birth and another for death,
A right time to plant and another to reap,
A right time to kill and another to heal,
A right time to destroy and another to construct,
A right time to cry and another to laugh,
A right time to lament and another to cheer,
A right time to make love and another to abstain,
A right time to embrace and another to part,
A right time to search and another to count your losses,
A right time to hold on and another to let go,
A right time to rip out and another to mend,
A right time to shut up and another to speak up,
A right time to love and another to hate,
A right time to wage war and another to make peace.
2. God Changes The seasons And Guides History
Daniel 2:21-23
That night the answer to the mystery was given to Daniel in a vision. Daniel blessed the God of heaven, saying,
“Blessed be the name of God,
forever and ever.
He knows all, does all:
He changes the seasons and guides history,
He raises up kings and also brings them down,
he provides both intelligence and discernment,
He opens up the depths, tells secrets,
sees in the dark—light spills out of him!
God of all my ancestors, all thanks! all praise!
You made me wise and strong.
And now you’ve shown us what we asked for.
You’ve solved the king’s mystery.”
3. A Message From God For The Season
a) In the first half of April 2016, the Lord has been leading and impressing upon my heart to write messages for the season. I have compiled all the messages in this post to provide a holistic view. These messages are interrelated as to what God is saying and what He is about to do in His church (the called out ones), the Bride of Jesus Christ.
b) Because God loves His church and Jesus died for her, He cannot ignore what is currently happening in churches like the Laodiceans in Revelation 3. He is going to beautify His bride before the soon coming of the Lord.
c) Time again and again, He has been giving warnings after warnings to His church. As a father corrects his children, so will God our Father correct those whom He loves.
d) As you read them, you may get some insights into what God is saying and what we ought to do. Maybe God will turn around and change his mind about us, quit being angry and spare us!
