1. God

a) Everyone has a name. In the Bible God names people and many times that name reflects the character of the person. He even gives Himself several names, which are really just an extension of His character. Take a look at these amazing Bible verses about God.

Psalms 72:19
Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!

2. Hebrew Names For God

a) El Shaddai – This name means “The Almighty” and we can find that almost 50 times in the Bible. The first time we see it is when God changes Abram’s name to Abraham:

Genesis 17:1
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD [Jehovah] appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God [El Shaddai]; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
