PLACES IN ACTS: CILICIA

1. Places In Acts

a) We look at the places mentioned in Acts. Each place is located on a map and then we note the people and events associated with that place. Each place contains some information mentioned in the book of Acts. 

2. Cilicia 

i) Pronounced Sill-iss'-ee-yuh.

ii) Region beyond Syria around to the west.

iii) Paul was born in Tarsus a city of Cilicia (Acts 21:39).

iv) Men from Cilicia disputed with Stephen (Acts 6:9).

v) False teachers from Jerusalem troubled the brethren in Cilicia (Acts 15:23-24).

vi) Mentioned in connection with Paul’s 2nd missionary journey.

vii) Paul traveled through there confirming the churches (Acts 15:41).
