a) Proverbs 4:23 King James Version (KJV)

23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

i) Lord God, thank You for this father's instruction, that his son should keep his heart with all diligence, because out of it are the issues of life.

ii) Lord God, cause me to keep my heart with all diligence, for out of my heart are the issues of life.

b) Proverbs 4:24 King James Version (KJV)

24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

i) Lord God, thank You for this father's instruction, that his son should put away deceitful speech, and put perverse lips far from him.

ii) Lord God, take strong willed disobedience from my mouth, and take perverseness from my lips.
