DARING ENOUGH?

1. Prophetic Challenge

a) Which group do you dare to venture into?

i) 1 million dollar group

ii) 3 millions group

iii) 7 millions group

iv) beyond 7 millions group

2. Let's look at 2 Kings 13:14-19

a) People's needs

i) 14Now Elisha had been suffering from the illness from which he died. Jehoash king of Israel went down to see him and wept over him. "My father! My father!" he cried. "The chariots and horsemen of Israel!" (2 Kings 13:14 NIV)

... earlier, Elisha cried over Elijah

#1) 9When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, "Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?" "Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit," Elisha replied.

#2) 10"You have asked a difficult thing," Elijah said, "yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not."

#3) 11As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

#4) 12Elisha saw this and cried out, "My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!" And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two. (2 Kings 2:9-12 NIV) ...

b) Prophet's instruction

i) 15Elisha said, "Get a bow and some arrows," and he did so.

c) Prophet's involvement - laying of hand(a) on the hands of people.

i) 16"Take the bow in your hands," he said to the king of Israel. When he had taken it, Elisha put his hands on the king's hands. (2 Kings 13:16 NIV)

d) Prophetic command

i) 17..."Shoot!" Elisha said, and he shot. (2 Kings 13:17 NIV)

e) Prophetic proclamation

i) 17..."The Lord's arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Aram (Syria)! "Elisha declared. "You will completely destroy the Arameans at Aphek." (2 Kings 13:17 NIV)

ii) 18Then he said, "Take the arrows," and the king took them. Elisha told him, "Strike the ground." (2 Kings 13:18 NIV)

f) Prophetic advice

i) 18He struck it three times and stopped. 19The man of God was angry with him and said, "You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times." (2 Kings 13:18, 19 NIV)

3. Overflowing prophetic anointing

a) A dead man becomes alive

a) Elisha died and was buried. Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring. 21Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet. (2 Kings 13:20, 21 NIV)

4. Prayer focus

a) Pray for God's prophetic anointing to rest upon his people so that they are daring enough to do exploit even in new fields.
