DO THINGS RIGHT

1. Prior Years

a) Prior years had been a hard and were difficult for some of us if not many, who had faced all kinds of challenges in our family, workplace and businesses. We were without a job and business was not so good due to economic situations near and far.

2. The Coming Year

a) The coming year is a good year for us as children of God to enjoy. It is going to be a year of realigning and reassigning to enlarge our territory. In God's economy, we can expect plenty and we can also expect to flourish in our workplace and businesses. In our workplace, we can see our company prosper because as children of God, we are very focus and working hard. In our businesses, we can expect more projects, contracts and agreements to be released to us. We can expect to be the head and not the tail; lender not the borrower.

i) 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. (Deuteronomy 28:13 NIV)

3. Do things right

a) 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request. (1 Chronicles 4:10 NIV)

b) Jabez means "pain, distress" and his mother gave him this name because she had given birth to him in pain.

c) 9 Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." (1 Chronicles 4:9 NIV)

d) Some of us could have experienced some kinds of "pain, distress" in the prior years like Jabez's mother. But the good news is the we can expect the coming year is going to be positively good because like Jabez, we can cry out to our God to bless us and enlarge our territory not mentioning, asking God to keep us from harm so that we would be free from the pain.

4. Conclusion

a) Jabez had done things right and got the right result. The end result was God granted his request and he got what he asked for.

b) The question is: How about us?

c) Are we doing things right instead of the right things?
