DO YOU KNOW?

1. God's Plans

a) Do you know that God has good plans for us, plans to prosper us and to give us hope and a future?

b) If God says he has good plans for us then surely he wants to accomplish his purpose in our life time. Therefore, we need to seek his good plans for our life.

i) 11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

2. God's Thoughts & Ways

a) Do you know that God's thoughts and ways are much higher than ours?

b) How God thinks is very much different from what we are thinking. Therefore, we need to seek his thoughts and ways.

i) 7Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. 8“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:7-9 NIV)

3. God's Word

a) Do you know that God will bring to pass what he has purpose in his word for us?

i) 10As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 11so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10, 11 NIV)

4. Serving Money

a) Do you know that we cannot serve both God and Money?

b) There is nothing wrong with having money but we cannot allow Money as our master. Therefore, we cannot serve both God and Money. We have to choose one from the other.

i) 24"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. (Matthew 6:24 NIV)

5. Love of Money

a) Do you know that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil?

i) 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. (1 Timothy 6:10 NIV)

6. Loving the World

a) Do you know that loving the world and anything in the world cannot have the love of the Father in heaven?

b) For everything in the world - flesh (the craving of sinful man), the lust of the eyes and the pride of life (the boasting of what he has and does) - does not come from the Father in heaven but from the world.

i) Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:15-17 NIV)

7. Boasting

ii) 23This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, 24but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 9:23, 24 NIV)
